Sagledana cjelovito, Farabijeva fi lozofi ja se doima poput kakvog organizma u kojem se svi organi nalaze na svom mjestu. Osovina ove fi lozofi je jeste generalno sagledana egzistencija, od njenih najviših, pri čemu se na vrhu nalazi Bog, do njenih najnižih razina. S druge strane, osovina te filozofi je jeste također i čovjek, jer čovjek je taj koji treba dosegnuti svoje savršenstvo i sreću, što se, opet, ne postiže osim općom spoznajom cijele egzistencije, a ona, opet, uključuje i čovjeka, koji može doseći savršenstvo, ali to još nije uspio. Čovjek, dakle, mora spoznati sebe da bi dosegao svoje savršenstvo i sreću.

Farabi

Viewed as a whole, al-Farabi’s philosophy seems to be an organism in which all the organs are positioned their right place. The axis of this philosophy is the existence perceived generally from its highest levels, whereby at the top is God, to its lowest levels. On the other hand, the axis of this philosophy is man as well, for it is man who needs to reach his perfection and happiness, which is, again, not reachable except thorough the general knowledge of the wholesome existence, which, in turn, also includes a man that can reach perfection, but has not succeed yet. Man thus has to know himself in order to reach his perfection and happiness.
